Reviving Language and Identity Initiative

In a step that reflects a deep belief in the importance of language and identity, FutureSun Organization has inaugurated a kindergarten specialized in teaching the Yazidi language in the Sinjar district. This initiative serves as an educational platform that nurtures a sense of belonging from early childhood.

The kindergarten has welcomed approximately 1,500 children, who are learning the alphabet of their mother tongue through modern educational methods that respect their age and cultural identity. This represents a serious effort to revive the Yazidi language and protect it from extinction.

This initiative is not merely an educational project; it is a cultural and national act aimed at restoring the status of the Yazidi language and embedding it in the consciousness of future generations—especially after years of hardship that sought to erase identity and undermine collective memory.

From Sinjar, where wounds have not yet fully healed, such projects rise to declare that language is resistance, education is survival, and identity cannot be defeated as long as there are those who believe in it and work for it.
